The upper mount, handle and hinged lid are made original of silver-plated metal (now showing a warm golden tone from gentle wear, adding character and authenticity). The lid opens to reveal the original removable glass ice insert, allowing the contents to be chilled without dilution — a hallmark of quality tableware from the early 20th century.
