Longines pays tribute to the pioneering days of ocean exploration with its new Heritage Diver chronograph, Ref. L2.796.4, presented here, with a three-hand automatic movement. A reissue of a vintage model produced in the 1970s.
Features a cushion-shaped stainless steel case comfortable to wear, with a radial brushed finish. It shares the same 44 mm diameter as the original 1970s model, but now equipped with modern high-resistance sapphire crystal with anti-reflective treatment.
The dive time is indicated by a bidirectional internal bezel operated via the crown at 10 o'clock with red markings. Water resistance is 300 meters.
The case back is engraved with a vintage diver, recalling Longines’ early diving watches.
The satin black dial elegantly combines details and red accents, echoing the character of the original diver models.
The movement is a Swiss-made Longines L651.3 automatic caliber (based on ETA 2894-2) with 37 jewels, 28,800 alt./hour, and a 42-hour power reserve.
