Wonderful oil on canvas work 20 x 40 (frame complete dimensions are 39 x 59) by the Neapolitan master Ernesto Rispoli, 1948. A graduate of the Naples Art Institute, since 1964 he has dedicated himself to painting, participating in numerous group and private exhibitions in various Italian towns. His works depict landscapes and villages from all over the Italian peninsula. A meticulous and delicate artist with vivid colors and light nuances, soft brushstrokes artfully applied, rendering the painting harmonious and elegant. Depicting a characteristic Venice canal between historic palaces with many figures. One notes the master’s excellent brushwork.
