Description from the seller
Mother and Child – bronze sculpture (45 cm). Unique piece.
A hushed and moving moment captured in bronze: this expressive sculpture shows a young mother lovingly holding her newborn child close to her.
The pose is at once protective and tender, with a subtle tilt of the head and an intimate focus on the small life in her arms.
The elongated, gently twisted pose gives the work natural elegance and movement, while the surface is rich in lively texture. The bronze skin is deliberately not smoothly polished, but bears the marks of the maker’s hand, which gives the sculpture a powerful, almost tangible emotion.
The warm, dark patina enhances depth and lets light play beautifully over the forms.
This unique, handmade artwork sits on a sober hard stone pedestal, giving the piece a solid base while drawing all attention to the expression of mother and child.
A timeless theme — love, vulnerability and connection — translated into a personal and characterful sculpture.
A special piece for enthusiasts of figurative art and for collectors who value authenticity and craftsmanship.
