Meissen - Centrepiece - Eggshell

Manufacture : Meissen (Germany).
Model: Footed coupe / compote with a festooned edge.
Decoration: Hand-painted naturalistic flower bouquets (style "Deutsche Blumen") and floral sprigs. Gilded rims and fine gold fillets.
Period: 19th century, the so-called "Knauf" period (Knaufzeit).
Condition: Exceptional condition, showroom piece never used. Brilliant gilding, no chipping, no cracks, no restorations.
Marks and Signatures (see photos):
Base: Blue underglaze Meissen crossed swords with finials (Knauf mark).
Quality: First quality (no grind marks on the swords).
Model number: Incised mark "H 130".
Modeler number: Incised mark "26".
Painter number: The figure "27" painted in blue.
The compote is removable (comes apart in two parts: bowl and foot), which facilitates thorough cleaning and guarantees secure shipment in two separate pieces.
