Description from the seller
Authentic olivine-bearing specimen from the rare Martian meteorite NWA 4925 (Northwest Africa), one of the most valued classes of meteorites originating from Mars.
This small fragment is part of an olivine-rich shergottite (olivine-phyric shergottite), material that formed inside Mars millions of years ago and was later ejected into space by an impact, eventually falling to Earth, where it was found in the Northwest Africa desert.
Olivine is one of the key minerals in the Martian mantle composition, making this specimen particularly interesting for both collectors and enthusiasts of planetary geology.
Material: Martian meteorite (olivine-phyric shergottite)
Geological origin: Mars
Discovery locality: NWA 4925 – Northwest Africa (Morocco)
Condition: Good overall condition, natural fragment without restoration, preserved in protective capsule
Extremely rare piece with high scientific and collectible value, representing real material from planet Mars. Ideal for demanding collectors, investors in unique pieces, or as a display object with a strong impact and a truly out-of-this-world history.
