Antique T-bar garment rack dating from circa 1910–1930, made of solid steel with iron castings and metal components in Art Deco style, featuring a rare double parallel bar, weighing about 70 kg and measuring 141 cm high, 150 cm wide, and 45 cm deep, with a white chipped paint surface and original cast-iron feet, originating from Germany and in good used condition with minor wear.
Description from the seller
This extraordinary historic T-bar confection stand, made of heavy solid steel, was produced around 1910 to 1930 and represents a rare collectible of early industrial design. While classical models from this era typically featured a single crossbar, the special feature of this exemplar lies in its unusual construction with a double parallel bar. Forged from solid, heavy steel casting rather than modern hollow tubes, the piece is characterized by a substantial intrinsic weight and maximum stability, supported by the elegantly curved, three-legged base. The original, white-painted surface displays a distinctive chippy-paint effect, where the flaking paint reveals the dark, historic metal patina and lends the piece an authentic aura. The furniture is in its original cast-iron rollers, in an age-appropriate excellent, stable, and unrestored original condition, and is ready for immediate use. As a striking statement piece with a museum-like character, this clothes rack is perfect for retro shop interiors, lofts, or as an exclusive focal point in private living spaces.
