Valeria Pesce's original oil and acrylic on canvas titled ACQUE GELIDE (2023), a Contemporary animal-themed work measuring 19 by 27 cm, signed and dated by the artist, unframed and stretched on a 2 cm wooden frame, depicting koi fish in blue, red, green, yellow, orange and white water, produced in Spain and sold directly by the artist, with a certificate of authenticity.
Description from the seller
FROZEN WATERS
The koi carp, these elegant Japanese fish, float lightly with their sinuous movements in crystal-clear waters. The fish as a universal archetypal element, as a link between diverse worlds, as an expression of the flow of life and emotions. Fast and elusive like clouds and thoughts, they embody the delicate balance between serenity and vital impulse. The green water that contains them, a constantly moving amniotic space. I am interested in the boundary between the real world and the surreal world of my ever-transforming aquatic landscapes.
Oil-painted fish on a background painted with acrylic.
The canvas is stretched over a wooden frame 2 cm in diameter.

ABOUT ME
Born in Italy, on the island of Sardinia, in 1963, after stints in New York to study graphic design and later in Milan, I moved to Barcelona in 1991 to work as a graphic designer, and here I began my artistic career, which over time has become my profession, my passion, and above all a vital necessity.
I have held solo and group exhibitions in several European cities, and my works are in various private collections around the world.
My work is deeply rooted in nature and human emotions; my star theme is water and fish, two visual universes that share intense symbolic meaning. The fascination with the fluidity and dynamism of water acts as a through-line in my creations and symbolizes constant transformation.
