Description from the seller
Antique Water pitcher - copper - France - 19th century
Product Story
This is a water pitcher that a major Japanese trading company purchased in France and brought back to Japan in the 1970s. (In the 1970s, Japan was in a period of rapid economic growth and had abundant funds, and expensive artworks and antiques from around the world were gathering in Japan.)
This water pitcher comes with a certificate indicating that it was made in the 19th century. It is believed to be from Central Asia. I am a dealer of Japanese artworks and antiques, and I found this at a local Japanese antique auction. Since my knowledge of European antiques is limited, please refer to the photos for a detailed assessment.
Although there is copper rust and corrosion on the back of the lid and the bottom, the preservation condition is quite good for an antique.
Material: copper
Size
43.5 x 22.5 x 18.5cm
