The Macallan Folio 2 is part of the Archival Series from The Macallan distillery, a collection that revives the brand's historic advertising styles. This distillery-exclusive series offers limited-edition releases, with the Folio 2 standing as the second entry. This Single Malt Scotch whisky, aged for 12 years in Sherry Casks, is bottled at a strength of 43% ABV.
Distinguishing itself from other offerings, Folio 2 is intricately linked with The Macallan's advertising past. Specifically, it revives the watercolour artwork associated with the distillery's historic ad campaigns. The packaging also echoes this theme, featuring a unique book-shaped tin case and a folio illustrated by artist Sara Midda.
Limited to 2500 bottles, the exclusivity of Folio 2 heightens its appeal to whisky collectors and investors. Each package includes a USB stick containing a selection of photographs from The Macallan's advertising archives, allowing owners a glimpse into the distillery's rich past.
