Description from the seller
SUNNY DAY
95 x 70 cm
Acrylic on canvas
Sunny Day builds an interior where light becomes the protagonist element. The scene, centered on a sink and an architectural niche, is organized from chromatic contrasts that define the space and create depth.
The arch, framed by warm tones — oranges and pinks — functions as a visual focal point and structural component. The suspended light bulb reinforces this centrality, casting a shadow that adds dimension and rhythm to the flat surface of color.
In contrast, the blues of the tile and the intense greens of the vegetation bring freshness and balance, building a luminous and contained atmosphere. The objects — jars, flowers, everyday items — are reduced to the essential, reinforcing the formal clarity of the scene.
The work transforms a domestic space into a sensory experience where light, color and architecture generate a sense of calm and vitality. More than a literal representation, the painting offers an emotional interpretation of the inhabited interior.

ABOUT THE ARTIST
Mar Legón develops a painting practice focused on exploring color as structure and emotion. Her work is characterized by clear compositions, formal synthesis, and vibrant contrasts that place the everyday in a contemporary territory.
Through still lifes, tropical scenes and elements of the immediate surroundings, she builds a coherent and recognizable visual language. Each work is an original piece that reflects ongoing research into the balance between form, color and space, consolidating a solid artistic identity with growth potential.
