Art Deco oak coffee table from the Netherlands dating to 1925–1935, with a brass engraved top and four wavy turned legs, 60 cm in diameter, 53 cm high and 60 cm deep, described as in good used condition.
Description from the seller
Beautiful Art Deco side table / coffee table, made of nice oak and with beautifully turned wavy legs. Also nice is the convex underside of the legs.
The weight of the small table is about 8 kg, the height 53 cm and the diameter almost 60 cm. The small table is made of Dutch oak, still dried in the old-fashioned way. The top of the side table is made of laton brass (brass) that is engraved with East-Asian-like characters (see photos). Laton brass is thin-rolled brass. This was then stretched over the wood of the top. In this way a top was created that could not burn if a cigarette or cigar fell from the ashtray.
The table was produced in the 1920s or 1930s. This kind of tables were often used as smoking tables. This table is a bit wider than most and also a bit lower. It is more a coffee table than a side table. The table is still 100% original, with all original fasteners (see photos).
This table is still in very good condition and completely stable. Here and there it shows logical signs of use, but these are not serious marks. The table is still usable as a smoking table, but of course also simply as a side table / coffee table.
The table consists of a top in which four legs with wooden screw threads are screwed. On the underside is then a heavy oak wooden ring that is fixed with the four bulging legs (with wooden screw threads).
To ship the package as compact as possible, the table is disassembled into the aforementioned parts. After arrival it is quickly and easily reassembled.
The table is carefully packed and insured for shipment.
