XTC, Mc Banksy Red Boxed, 2026, edition 13/20, sculpture in plastique and bois with a wooden frame, 27 × 27 × 6 cm, France, hand-signed, in excellent condition, COA included.
Description from the seller
Mc Banksy cone in a box-frame for a wall presentation by XTC.
A détournement of a McDonald’s cone, marrying the delicate touch of Banksy with the abundance of McDonald’s, represented by the quantity of hearts.
It’s not a cardboard McDonald’s cone; everything was created from plastics and painted by XTC.
The frame is part of the artwork. It comes with a plastic pane, and you can display it with or without it, as shown in the first and third photos.
Signed and numbered on the back out of 20, Certificate of Authenticity (COA) provided.
The item sent may not be the exact one pictured but will be similar.
Careful packaging and tracked shipping.
Born in 1978 in the heart of France, XTC shaped his artistic universe through his interest in Design, Pop Art, and more recently Street Art. This visual exploration evolved into a passion that was to be realized.
XTC defines himself as a self-taught visual artist, aligned with the Pop Art movement, through the subversion of contemporary consumer goods.
His creativity expresses itself through bold staging of icons of popular consumption (such as McDonald’s, Malabar, Chupa), which he pits against the world of luxury (including Chanel, Hermès, Veuve Clicquot champagne, or caviar) and Street Art, further blurring the already tenuous boundaries between these worlds.
He expresses his art through sculpture, mixing painting with all kinds of resins, plastics, and sometimes minerals.
He draws inspiration, among others, from Banksy, Keith Haring, Orlinski, Andy Warhol, Obey, advertising, and addictions in general.
All potential defects or imperfections are an integral part of the artwork.
