Description from the seller
Maserati Gold Thrower – Limited Edition 08/10
In homage to Banksy
Custom art violin – delivered with its storage box.
Limited edition 08/10.
Exclusive to Catawiki.
This art violin revisits one of the most emblematic images of contemporary street art: Banksy's flower thrower. Here, the bouquet of flowers is replaced by a spray of gold, symbol of success, desire, value and power. This golden projection becomes a metaphor for Maserati excellence: Italian elegance, mechanical refinement and timeless prestige.
The figure of the “Gold Thrower” embodies the meeting of urban rebellion and unapologetic luxury. The gesture, originally subversive, is transformed here into a celebration of achievement, style and performance. The violin thus becomes a hybrid object, at the crossroads of street art, luxury design and exceptional automotive culture.
Every detail of the violin has been lovingly reworked by hand in the Cartist workshop in France. The golden spray is applied with a premium finish that catches the light and contrasts with the violins’ dark background, while the Maserati trident logo and the signature subtly integrate into the composition, creating a visual balance between strength, elegance and modernity.
This Limited Edition 08/10 fully embodies Cartist’s DNA: diverting noble objects to inject street art energy, luxury symbolism and fascination with mythic brands and mechanical performance.
