Description from the seller
I am Ed Mittendorf, an artist, 84 years old, working under the name Mivillage, and I lived, worked, and exhibited for 18 years in France. I now live and work permanently in the Netherlands.
My works were then designed in the 'NUL' style from the 1960s. At that time, the artists Arnando, Jan Henderikse, Henk Peters, and Jan Schoonhoven became well known. Internationally, the style is 'ZERO'.
This new series of small reliefs is made from cardboard and painted with a self-developed coarse-structured paint, and the motifs are handmade; the regular motifs appear to be deliberately 'not exact', which characterizes the uniqueness of the works.
In addition to these reliefs, I create in this 'NUL' style the Silence and Mondrian 3D series. The World First - 'CrinckleArt'. I developed and executed this technique myself. This work has been very well received in Europe.
The works are mounted in a luxurious box frame. The dimensions are 37 cm wide by 37 cm long and 6 cm high.
Each artwork isOriginal and signed on the back. Signing on the front would mar the presentation.
