Artist Medsan presents Oiran Deadly sins: gluttony (七つの大罪:暴食) - UNIQUE WORK, a 2026 giclée in a vertical 40 × 60 cm, signed in the cartouche, edition 1/1, produced in France, in excellent condition.
Description from the seller
UNIQUE EDITION 1/1 — THERE IS ONLY ONE COPY IN THE WORLD.
With this vertical-format print (40x60 cm), Medsan introduces a new fascinating thematic series exploring the Seven Deadly Sins through the prism of feudal Japan. This first masterful work depicts the sin of Gluttony, tinged with a strong sensual charge and an unapologetic eroticism.
The scene opens the doors to the intimacy of a geisha (or oiran) lounging on silk cushions. Her kimono is partially loosened, revealing her shoulders and legs, while she languorously holds a cherry to her lips, the red juice dripping onto her hand as a carnal metaphor. In front of her unfurls a decadent and luxurious feast: peaches symbolizing longevity, split pomegranates, suggestive octopus tentacles, and champagne glasses. Around this feast, bees buzz and a white cat lazily laps spilled milk from the floor. The atmosphere, warmed by the glow of red lanterns and the brilliance of a richly ornate gold byōbu screen, invites excess and lust. The traditional cartouche at the bottom right signs this composition with the artist’s hand (メドサン).
An intimate, bold, and enthralling piece, perfect for collectors seeking a work with sultry charm and impeccable aesthetics.

About the Studio:
Atelier Joconde is a workshop of artists gathered around a vibrant and plural contemporary creation. Established as a true place of artistic production, the studio operates both in collective creation and in individual approaches, depending on the projects and works. Atelier Joconde is also a family venture. Le Yack, a contemporary figurative painter, develops a narrative and introspective body of work with cinematic and realistic influences. By his side, Medsan, oriented toward pop art painting, explores color, modern iconography, and visual culture. Finally, Neo Pablo is engaged in a more instinctive search, blending abstract art, naive art, and figurative abstraction. Each work is conceived, executed, and followed within the studio, with a shared artistic standard and an identity unique to each artist.
