Decorative nutcracker in the shape of a crocodile, attributed to the Austrian designer Walter Bosse. This type of animal figure is characteristic of the playful mid-century design from the 1950s and 60s.

The piece has a beautiful dark patina with lighter highlights. The jaws function as a nutcracker and close well.
