Description from the seller
AMA • Pope (1985) - "Aurora Borealis" - Supreme - 2/20
In keeping with his works that fuse irony and contemporary symbols, Pope here explores the world of streetwear and brand culture, where desire becomes collective and image exceeds the object.
"Aurora Borealis" reframes this imagery to create a luminous, chromed, hypnotic piece, nearly ritual.
On the front face, the message is immediate:
SUPREME, frozen as a symbol, recognizable above all.
On the sides, a minimal signature: S.
A simple, universal code that evokes belonging.
By day, the piece appears as a chromed, cold, contemporary sculpture.
By night, a multicolored aurora borealis bursts from within and transforms the object into an immersive light source.
A stark contrast between visual minimalism and luminous intensity.
"Aurora Borealis" captures a moment when the logo becomes identity, and where the object goes beyond its function to become a true visual signal.
Limited edition of 20 units for 2025, signed, numbered, and delivered with AMA certificate of authenticity.
Fast and careful shipping (bubble wrap, tissue paper, and reinforced carton) with signature on delivery.
Specifications:
- 7 light colors
- 3 diffusion modes (static, fading transitions, simple transitions)
- Electric power via USB cord with switch (included)
- Height: 20 cm
- Width: 9 cm
- Depth: 9 cm
A collectible object that rethinks censorship as art, and turns the "Aurora Authentic Fake" into a true original.
Who is AMA?
Born from the fusion of talents of French artist friends, the AMA collective takes you into its world of vibrant colors and varied materials.
Sculptures, paintings and installations, the collective passionately uses a multitude of techniques to bring its works to life.
The AMA collective mainly draws inspiration from the world around it but also from currents of renowned artists such as Banksy, Keith Haring, Koons, Orlinski, Takashi, Fred Allart, Shepard Fairey, Warhol, Yayoi Kusama, Richard Hamilton, Jean-Michel Basquiat, Alec Monopoly, KAWS, Pantone, Mr. Brainwash, Blek le Rat, to name a few.
Whether as a gift, a keepsake, or part of your personal collection of contemporary art, you will easily find your favorite piece thanks to the diversity of our works. Indeed, AMA pursues its urban art passion through street art (streetart) and pop art (popart) (limited edition or not), addressing a wide spectrum of themes such as cryptocurrencies (Bitcoin, Ethereum), the dollar, money, gold, wealth, the sex industry, drug harms, luxury and haute couture brands, the world of comics and video games, the pharmaceutical industry and medicines, recycling and upcycling, agro-food and fashion products (sport, sneakers, etc.).
Brands guide our choices and often our lives without us realizing it. Aware of this impact, AMA likes to mischievously reinterpret labels such as Louis Vuitton (LV), Chanel, Dior, Hermès, Prada, Gucci, Rolex, Yves Saint Laurent (YSL), Supreme, Obey, Ferrari, Lamborghini, Porsche, Bugatti, AMG, Mercedes, Nike (Air Jordan), Adidas (Stan Smith), Coca-Cola, Pepsi, Marvel and Avengers (Batman, Joker, Superman...), Disney (Mickey, Scrooge McDuck...), Nintendo, Sega, Tintin, Lego, Pokemon, Vans and many others.
Dear bidders, our collective makes every effort to ensure that all information necessary to evaluate the lot is clearly detailed in the listing: dimensions, weight, description, and photos... After the sale, no unfounded complaint will be considered. Thank you for your understanding.
