A work of great elegance created by Jeanne Grignani, from the 1980s edition.
This NECCHI poster was first edition printed in 1957.
Jeanne Grignani (Melitopol 1916 – Milan 2003) was a graphic designer, fashion illustrator, and illustrator.
She is known for her creations for Borsalino, Necchi, Pirelli and Zignago produced in the period from the second half of the 1940s up to the 1950s/60s approx.
The artist was naturally gifted at drawing, with a preference for fashion design. She continually evolved in her drawings, which have always shown great quality and beauty in terms of graphics; she also used various painting techniques.
This Necchi poster is of rare pictorial beauty, and the advertising graphics and communication are highly effective.
The figure of the beautiful and elegant woman is placed at the center of the scene, as a testimonial. Class, elegance—the woman in the poster is the reference model proposed. In front of her is drawn the new sewing machine, the product offered.
In the 1950s, indeed, advertising rode and proposed a model of a woman who valued her own beauty, elegance, care, etc.
A work of great taste and ideal as a decorative furnishing element.
