He won the NBA Most Valuable Player Award in 2015 and 2016 and is a five-time NBA All-Star. He was a champion in the NBA in the 2014/15, 2016/17 and 2017/18 seasons with the Golden State Warriors. During the 2009 NBA Draft Curry was drafted by the Golden State Warriors. He signed a four-year contract for 12.7 million dollars. He was assigned jersey number 30; the same number his father wore during his NBA career. On October 28, 2009 he made his NBA debut against the Houston Rockets. During the 2011 NBA All-Star Game he won the Skills Challenge. In the same season he broke Rick Barry’s free-throw percentage record: 93.4%. In May 2011 Curry had surgery on his right ankle due to a ruptured ankle ligament. The rest of the season he continued to suffer from this ankle, which he re-injured three times in games. In total he appeared in 26 of the 66 games that season.
