Longwy - Case - Earthenware, Ceramic

Elegant box in Longwy enamels, with a polychrome decoration inspired by Art Nouveau.

The surface is entirely animated by a rich floral and vegetal decor treated in cloisonné enamels: sinuous stems, stylized foliage and vibrant flowers unfold with fluidity on a deep blue background characteristic of Longwy. The whole forms a lively and harmonious decorative scene, typical of the naturalist aesthetics of Art Nouveau.

The circular shape and the finesse of the enamel work, paired with the vivid colors and the subtle network of craquelure, attest to the renowned craftsmanship of the Longwy workshops.

French work from the 20th century.

Very good overall condition, with enamel well preserved and colors luminous. Signs of aging more visible inside the box.
