Paul Jouve (1878–1973) is a French painter, draftsman, and illustrator, recognized as one of the great animal artists of the 20th century. Trained at the École des Beaux-Arts in Paris, he developed an early fascination with the animal world, which he observes with scientific rigor and a keen sense of movement.
