Description from the seller
RACCONTO is a unique work that arises from a material and transformative process: sheets of handmade paper in hemp fiber, still in formation, are flipped onto a mat of woven bark. In this gesture, the paper welcomes and retains the imprints of the support, absorbing its reliefs and textures until it becomes one with it, in a balance between spontaneity and control.
The surface thus generated hosts the representation of ethnical earrings from the Naga tradition, built for layering and collage, with gestures of oil painting that amplify the tension between sign and matter. The image is traversed by a continuous autograph writing: an intimate narrative that does not merely describe, but fully integrates into the composition, becoming a visual and structural element.
The conceptual core of the work develops around the earring as archetype of female adornment and, by extension, as a symbolic device of listening. Placed on the ear, it becomes a space of resonance for confessions, memories and whispered narratives, making visible a dimension otherwise invisible and inner.
The work can be installed directly on the wall or presented in a frame, as in the catalog images, maintaining in both cases a strong plastic and tactile presence.
It is delivered in rigid packaging, accompanied by a certificate of authenticity.
