Who is Pope?
Pope, co-founder of the AMA collective, develops a singular artistic universe built on a practice of fine arts since childhood, a high standard of detail, and a meticulous visual research. Through sculptures, paintings, and installations, he draws inspiration from photography, urban landscapes, and everyday scenes, with a sensitive and amazed gaze, attentive to both the simplicity and the complexity of the world around him.
Pope mainly draws inspiration from the world around him but also from the currents of renowned artists such as Banksy, Keith Haring, Koons, Orlinski, Takashi, Fred Allart, Shepard Fairey, Warhol, Yayoi Kusama, Richard Hamilton, Jean-Michel Basquiat, Alec Monopoly, KAWS, Pantone, Mr. Brainwash, Blek le Rat, to name a few.
Whether it’s a gift, a keepsake, or your personal collection of contemporary art, you will easily find your favorite piece thanks to the diversity of our works. Indeed, Pope pursues his urban art passion through street art (streetart) and pop art (popart) – in limited edition or not – addressing a wide range of themes such as cryptocurrencies (Bitcoin, Ethereum), the dollar, money, gold, wealth, the sex industry, drug harms, luxury and haute couture brands, the world of comics and video games, the pharmaceutical industry and medicines, recycling and upcycling, food industry and fashion products (sport, sneakers…).
Brands guide our choices and often our lives without us realizing it. Aware of this impact, Pope likes to mischievously twist labels such as Louis Vuitton (LV), Chanel, Dior, Hermès, Prada, Gucci, Rolex, Yves Saint Laurent (YSL), Supreme, Obey, Ferrari, Lamborghini, Porsche, Bugatti, AMG, Mercedes, Nike (Air Jordan), Adidas (Stan Smith), Coca-Cola, Pepsi, Marvel and Avengers (Batman, Joker, Superman...), Disney (Mickey, Scrooge McDuck...), Nintendo, Sega, Tintin, Lego, Pokemon, Vans and many others.
Dear bidders, our collective is making every effort to ensure that all information necessary to appraise the lot for sale is clearly detailed in the listing: dimensions, weight, description, and photos… After the sale, no unjustified claims will be considered. Thank you for your understanding.
