Description from the seller
MiLo – “Veiled Presence”
A work by Amsterdam-based artist MiLo (1976).
In Veiled Presence, the human figure emerges only partially from the painted surface, as if obscured by memory, motion, or erosion. Built from layered horizontal gestures and scattered splashes, the image hovers between portrait and disappearance. Facial features remain intentionally unresolved, allowing the viewer to project emotion, identity, or absence onto the work.
The restrained palette of soft beige, grey, black, and off-white gives the painting a calm but haunting atmosphere. Rather than presenting a fixed likeness, the work explores concealment, vulnerability, and the fragile boundary between presence and dissolution.
The painting will be carefully rolled and shipped in a sturdy tube or box. A signed certificate of authenticity is included. Frame not included.

About the artist
MiLo (1976) is an Amsterdam-based artist with a background in photography and art studies. Over the years he has sold more than 800 original works, now residing in private collections, hotels, restaurants, and offices across Europe, the United States, Hong Kong, and Taiwan.
His work explores the tension between construction and erosion, layering and scratching the painted surface until traces emerge that may recall urban landscapes, geological strata, or fragmented memories. Each canvas evolves through process, gesture, and chance, allowing multiple interpretations to surface beyond any single theme.
