An interesting nineteenth-century Italian edition of a work by Jules Verne (Giulio Verne), titled A Prodigious Discovery and Its Incalculable Consequences for the Destinies of the World.
First Italian edition, third edition, published in Milan by Serafino Muggiani & Comp. in 1878.
Volume I bound in elegant red half-leather with rich decorations and gilded spine titles. Maintains a pleasant period aesthetic and features an engraved illustration on the frontispiece.
Interior pages complete and clearly legible, with natural browning of the paper and light scattered foxing due to age. Solid binding with normal signs of wear to edges and spine, consistent with the age of the specimen.
