Kusabanamon Kabin 草花文花瓶 (くさばなもんかびん) | Noritake ノリタケ
This piece was produced between 1911 and 1921, as indicated by the backstamp. It features the "Moriage" technique, where patterns are applied in relief to create depth. This item belongs to the category known as "Old Noritake."
Artist Profile:
The history of Noritake began with the Morimura Gumi trading business founded by Ichizaemon Morimura in 1876. In 1904, Nippon Toki Gomei Kaisha was established in Noritake, Aichi Prefecture. In 1914, the company completed Japan's first dinner set. Their "Old Noritake" items, known for ornate Art Deco styles, received international recognition.
