Description from the seller
Paolo Contin
Mistero
Original sculpture, wood and acrylic.
Sold directly by the artist. Certificate of authenticity with date and autograph signature on the back of the artwork.
Shipping with super careful packaging and protected from impacts during Transport.
Shipments are not accepted to nations outside the European Community due to too high costs.
The artwork is made with the artist's original technique, with geometric wooden elements that have been glued in multiple layers onto a wooden base. The fragments create, with their contrasts, small worlds in which the observer can find together the singularity of individuals in a single living space, which here represents the idea of mystery in the dark world around us.
The wooden segments were obtained from salvaged carpentry materials and cut, joined and glued one by one directly by the artist. Small imperfections even in the frame and an apparent rusticity are part of the work which is alive, having given life to abandoned woods now rich with expressive emotion.
Paolo Contin has had a long artistic career. He trained in the world of design and since 1980 has worked in fashion and art. Since 1999 he began to exhibit his works; in 2002 his first solo show in Padua, followed by many exhibitions in Italy and abroad, including Copenhagen, Munich, Brussels, Istanbul, Buenos Aires, Sydney and Paris.
