Description from the seller
Original stencil artwork on expanded foam.
Crafted with authentic materials recovered from the street, a distinctive element that guarantees its uniqueness and character.
The work represents the transition of the piece from the outer wall to the interior space of buildings. What is born on the street, in the urban and public context, is transferred inside palaces, houses or museums, completely changing the environment and meaning. In this case, the most interesting street-facing wall fragment is selected and cut out—the spot where the street artist had executed the external intervention. The fragment is then detached from the original street context and transformed into an autonomous object. Once the cut is made, this piece of wall can be moved and placed inside: in homes, in buildings, in museums or in other structures. In this way the work changes environment and function, moving from the public, everyday space of the street to a private or institutional space, where it is preserved and exhibited as a true artistic object. All of this represents a kind of imagined reconstruction by the artist, reflecting on the process of moving the work from the urban context to the domestic or museum context.
The natural imperfections, marks and dents of the materials are not defects, but an integral part of the artwork: they testify to its urban life and strengthen the distinctive identity of true Street Art.
The work is delivered ready to hang. At the client's request, it is possible subsequently to proceed with framing.
The painting is signed by the artist and accompanied by a certificate of authenticity, guaranteeing the originality and value of the work.
Mart is a official street artist, listed on Catawiki (2026), with growing attention from collectors and enthusiasts.
