Description:
This triptych belongs to the Suspended Horizons series, in its more material and present development. In the Presences branch, painting is structured into dense, layered surfaces, where color becomes body and territory.
The three canvases dialogue with one another while maintaining visual autonomy, and can be shown either as a single composition or separately. The material is organized through overlays, incisions and glazes, generating an organic pictorial field, traversed by tensions and openings.
The gold leaf intervention, applied by hand, emerges as an essential point of light, integrated into the surface as a silent and non-decorative presence.
Quiet Green suggests a state of suspension and listening: a quiet not static, but alive, crossed by internal movements and subtle transformations. A landscape that does not represent, but happens.
One single work.
Colors may vary slightly depending on the screen.
Project Statement
Suspended Horizons
This work belongs to my artistic path dedicated to Suspended Horizons, a research born from the encounter between water and intuition. In these canvases, the fluid material shapes inner landscapes: imagined visions that do not depict real places, but moods, perceptual thresholds and fragments of ephemeral beauty.
The surface develops through light stratifications, transparencies and sparse fields, evoking silence, waiting and the breath of a suspended time. In some works, essential signs emerge — stylized blooms, floating petals, reflections of trees — symbolic presences that amplify the meditational and dreamy dimension without imposing a defined narrative.
The series takes the form of a process in becoming, open to gestural and formal variations, faithful to a poetics of the unsaid and the threshold. Within this inquiry three expressive modes take shape, which are not closed categories but movements within the same investigation.
- Evanescences -
In 'Evanescences' the material dissolves and recedes. The image appears as a distant memory, a vision barely grasped, where the landscape becomes rarified, unstable, suspended between presence and disappearance.
- Presences -
In 'Presences' painting densifies and takes form. The material emerges with greater intensity, yet maintaining a dreamlike quality, like a shape that reveals itself without ever fully defining itself.
- Apparitions -
In 'Apparitions' light rises from dark depths. Space becomes more intimate, and the horizon turns into a distant threshold, a direction toward which the gaze tends, guided by a luminous presence that both manifests and withdraws.
Artist Statement
My work explores the fluid nature of water and its ability to generate forms, movement and light.
Through the use of watercolors, acrylics, inks and glazes, I translate this energy into abstract visions that bring silence, mystery and introspection.
I paint inner landscapes: suspended horizons, reflections, blooms. Images that do not depict real places, but perceptual states perched between appearance and dissolution.
I let the water guide the process, embracing imperfections and fleeting traces as an essential part of the work.
My research moves between lightness and matter, keeping an open space for interpretation.
Each work is an invitation to slow down and breathe with the eyes.
