Renata Giannelli presents 'Due ciliegie', a self-supporting sculpture of iron wire woven with hemp fibre paper pulp, featuring 120 LED points, hand-signed, weighing 6 kg, 35 by 35 by 35 cm, created in 2026 with gold leaf accents, shippped in rigid packaging with a certificate of authenticity.
Description from the seller
Luminous sculpture realized through an organic interweaving of tangled iron wire, crossed by 120 LED light points that animate its internal structure. On the metal mesh a pulp of hemp fiber paper was cast, which during the drying and oxidation process generated an irregular and vibrant surface, rich in material strata and transparencies.
The light, filtering through the solids and voids, builds a mutable pattern of shadows and reflections, transforming the sculpture into a living, atmospheric presence. The irregular inserts of gold leaf further amplify the luminous perception, creating precious glints that emerge from the rough material.
The project arises from the meeting of two elements seemingly antithetical: iron — cold, rigid and structural — and paper — soft, warm and fragile. From their fusion takes shape a new expressive material, organic and metamorphic, in which the hardness of the metal is progressively softened by the presence of the fiber, while the paper gains strength and plastic tension.
The structure is freestanding; it can be wall-mounted or resting on a shelf. The LED lighting is powered via USB output, allowing versatile placement in both domestic and exhibition spaces. It is shipped in rigid packaging and comes with an authenticity certificate.
