This splendid heart-shaped concert cittern (or Viennese cittern) is a string instrument from the Central European tradition dating roughly to the end of the 19th century or the very early 20th century. The dark wood body features a refined symmetrical double-lobed shape with two carved rosettes, all kept in its original vintage-era case with a red fabric interior.
Box approximately 65x43x8 cm, instrument approximately 61x38x5 cm
This Viennese cittern is aesthetically well preserved despite its age. The instrument is acoustically functional, but has not been tested or tuned by a professional
