In this auction, we present the famous Aluminium Chair, model EA 117 – the swivel and height-adjustable office version – one of the most significant creations of the 20th century. Conceived by Charles & Ray Eames in the mid-1950s, these chairs revolutionized the structural approach: instead of padding a shell, the Eames stretched a sheet between two aluminum sides, creating a damping effect that guarantees high comfort.
