Description:
Small-scale contemporary painting exploring atmosphere, memory and abstraction through layered painterly surfaces and raw material textures. The work combines a hand-cut fibreboard support frame with an expressive painted surface, functioning both as image and object.
Condition:
Very good overall condition. Minor irregularities and raw edges are inherent to the artist’s working process and material character.
Shipping:
The artwork will be shipped carefully packaged in protective materials and a rigid cardboard box. Tracked shipping included.
Artist background:
Yavor Kostadinov (b. 1993, Plovdiv, Bulgaria) is a visual artist working primarily in painting and drawing. He holds BA (2016) and MA (2018) degrees in Painting from the National Academy of Arts, Sofia, and studied at Accademia di Belle Arti di Brera, Milan, in 2015. Kostadinov was nominated for the BAZA Award for Contemporary Art (2020, 2022) and was artist-in-residence at Cité Internationale des Arts, Paris, in 2021. His work has been presented in solo and group exhibitions in Bulgaria and internationally.
