Description from the seller
Ardbeg-Kelpie-Limited Edition-Single Malt Whisky-700ml-46% Vol.Alc.
The Ardbeg Distillery lies on the most southerly part of Islay and on the rugged shores of the Atlantic Ocean.
The Ardbeg Kelpie is a Non-Chill Filtered Limited Edition.
The name 'Kelpie' refers to a mythical water spirit from Scottish folklore, a shape shifter said to haunt the seas around remote coastal areas, the setting for the Isle of Islay. The 'sea inspired' concept leads to the whisky's flavour profile, briny, maritime and smoky. The sea environment where the Ardbeg Distillery is based.
Non-age statement, the Kelpie was first released in 2017 as part of the celebrations for Ardbeg Day.
Maturation in virgin oak casks sourced from the Black Sea Region.
Tasting Notes: Herbal aromas tantalise the nose. Go deeper and pine resin and smoky fudge appear with water and drift into a peppery mouthfeel, with clove oil, coffee, hickory wood, seaweed and smoked fish, the legacy of its ties to the Black Sea.
The whisky will of course be well packaged before being sent to you.
