Description from the seller
Elegant Oak Jewelry Box / Casket with Key – Interwar Period, ca. 1930s
Beautiful and authentic solid oak jewelry box / storage casket dating from the interwar period, circa 1930s.
An elegant handcrafted piece featuring a refined profiled design, turned feet, and a well-balanced lid construction typical of quality European craftsmanship from the early 20th century. The warm oak grain and naturally developed patina give the object a rich and exclusive appearance that only genuine age can create.
Unlike later mass-produced decorative boxes, this example reflects the solid materials and careful workmanship associated with pre-war cabinetmaking traditions.
The box is both decorative and functional, ideal for:
• jewelry and watches
• letters or personal treasures
• desk or cabinet display
• classic or vintage interiors
The original key is included.
Sold without contents — the sale concerns the box only.
Condition:
Very good original condition considering its age, with minor age-related wear and patina consistent with nearly 100 years of history. The piece has never been restored or over-polished, preserving its authentic character and collector appeal.
Material: solid oak
Period: ca. 1930s (interwar period)
Dimensions: approx. 25 × 20 × 14 cm
A rare and tasteful vintage object with timeless charm — increasingly difficult to find complete with its original key and in such well-preserved condition.
