Le Yack’s Oakhaven Station - Hand signed is a 40 x 40 cm giclée on canvas, limited to 20 individually numbered copies, signed by the artist with a certificate of authenticity, produced in France and sold direct from the artist.
Description from the seller
This figurative work transports us to the sunlit platform of Oakhaven station. In an atmosphere worthy of classical cinema, a poignant and suspended scene unfolds between two characters. An elegant woman, dressed in a retro red suit and a small hat, stands on the platform, her gaze lifted toward a man in a military uniform, motionless in the doorway frame of a majestic silver-metal carriage. The piece gains its emotional intensity from its deep narrative ambiguity: are we witnessing the heartbreak of a farewell before a departure to the front, or the silent shock of long-awaited reunion? The frozen attitude and the almost lost look of the two protagonists intensify this palpable mystery. The geometrically elongated shadows on the concrete and the cold realism of the train, hallmarks of American aesthetics, emphasize the tension and isolation of this decisive moment.
