Danilov Anatolij Vassilievitch (1944-2005)
Representative of the Leningrad School.
Born on May 15, 1944 in the village Sanskoïe, in the Ryazan Oblast.
Graduated from the Art School of the city of Leningrad.
Graduated from the State Institute for Painting, Sculpture and Architecture in Saint Petersburg (engraving studio of A.F. Pakhomov).
Taught at the Academy of Fine Arts from 1996 to 2005.
Member of the Union of Artists since 1975.
Laureate of the Leningrad Youth Prize.
Holder of the Tallinn Triennial Diploma for Graphic Art.
He illustrated books for publishers such as: “Youth Literature” (editions from Moscow and Leningrad), “Artistic Literature” (editions from Leningrad), “Midtsernomolskaya” from Voronezh, “Bibliopolis”, “Neva”, “Aurora”, “Yunost” and others.
He created a series of illustrations inspired by ancient poetry: “Sacrifice”, “Festival”, and illustrations for Dante’s Divine Comedy.
He produced series including: “Twentieth-Century Kaleidoscope”, “1917. Revolution”, “Child World”, “Bam”, “Hippodrome”, “White Nights”, “Summer”, “In Memory of the Dead of the Last Day of the War”, “Russian Cities”.
He worked on the diorama “The Feat of Soldier Titanov”.
He painted the Empress’s Boudoir of the Konstantinovsky Palace in Strelna.

Graduated from the State Academic Institute of Painting, Sculpture and Architecture in Saint Petersburg, named after I.E. Repin (graphic workshop of A.F. Pakhomov).
From 1996 to 2005 he taught at the Academy of Fine Arts.
Member of the Union of Artists since 1975.
Laureate of the Leningrad Komsomol Prize.
In possession of a diploma from the Tallinn Triennial of Graphic Arts.
He worked on illustrations for books for publishers: the “Children’s Literature” of Moscow and Leningrad departments, “Artistic Literature” of the Leningrad department, Voronezh region, “Bibliopolis”, “Neva”, “Aurora”, “Yunost” and others.
