Calegaro - Argenteria - Baking dish (2) - Silverplated

Beautiful and rare octagonal baking dish produced in Italy by Calegaro Silversmiths in Padua.

The dish has an octagonal shape and is in silverplate. Both the lid and the base are in excellent condition. Inside there is a porcelain tray showing some signs of use.

Perfect for serving food at the table with great style.

Luigi Calegaro opened the eponymous shop in 1921, becoming the fourth silversmith of Padua with the 4PD mark. In the postwar years, the production of handcrafted items grew rapidly to the highest quality standards. The second generation led by his son Francesco helped solidify the Calegaro brand worldwide.

This space functions as the jewelry and tableware museum that tells a century of stories of silver and silversmiths, objects and production processes, and the long tradition embodied by the Calegaro family.
