- I created my image for Falen Art to build a unique, modern and elegant visual identity capable of representing my artistic work and values.
After studying graphic design in Namur and a strong taste for travel and cultural diversity, Natalie Matis’s vocation for porcelain was born in China during a trip.
Upon returning to Belgium, she joined the Porcepolis studio in Brussels, where she deepened her particular love for porcelain; she cherishes this material for its whiteness, its nobility, its translucency, its intimacy with glaze and its softness.
She offers a range of decorative objects with a minimalist design.
For several years, Nathalie Matis has perfected her study of ceramics in various studios and at the Academy of Fine Arts in Braine L’Alleud with ceramist Geert van Der Borght.
Passionate about ceramics, she explores autodidactically various techniques and has a marked fascination with raku, a mysterious meeting of mastery and randomness, a fragile adventure between the potter’s dream and metamorphosis
