Description from the seller
Re-live your youth (or add to your Dahl collection), with this good condition hardback edition of ‘The Twits’, published by Jonathan Cape.
I believe this is the VERY LAST hardback Jonathan Cape edition, printed in 1996 - some 16 years on from the original 1980 first published date.
This ‘last impression’ makes this particular edition extremely collectible, and possibly suits completist collectors, who want all of the editions.
The book is in very good condition, with nice clean pages, no inscriptions, scribbles, notes or any blemishes. Just the normal slight age-related toning to the pages.
The jacket is also pretty decent, bright and clean, with only some slight ripples to the paper being the only condition point.
All in all this is a very good example of a rare book. This last impression will have had a very small print run, after 7 previous printings, so is likely to be very uncommon, and numerically scarce.
Thanks for looking. Happy bidding.
