Jonathan Wain, Bloom No. 22 - NO Reserve, original Neo-Expressionist acrylic painting with spray paint on paper (48 x 63 cm), signed and dated JW 26, created in 2026 as a one‑of‑a‑kind still life, produced in Spain and sold direct from the artist in excellent condition.
Description from the seller
A powerful and energetic Neo-Expressionist still life by Jonathan Wain. This work represents a bold fusion of classical floral composition and gritty, urban street art techniques. Utilizing a dynamic mix of acrylic brushwork and aerosol spray paint, Wain creates a "high-velocity" bouquet that feels as though it is vibrating off the canvas.
The piece features a central cluster of white-petaled daisies with luminous yellow centers, surrounded by explosive bursts of neon magenta and electric blue. The artist’s use of spray paint creates soft, atmospheric gradients and "halos" of colour, contrasted sharply by the heavy, gestural white strokes defining the glass jar. The background is a masterclass in controlled chaos, with vertical grey washes providing a moody, industrial backdrop that allows the floral colours to pop with maximum intensity.

Jonathan Wain: The Urban Neo-Expressionist
Jonathan Wain’s practice is a visceral exploration of movement, psychological tension, and the tactile nature of paint. Drawing deep inspiration from the "post-graffiti" movement and the raw spontaneity of Neo-Expressionism, Wain’s work bridges the gap between industrial urban landscapes and classical motifs.
Jonathan Wain is an Alicante-based contemporary artist and MMU Sculpture graduate. A post-graffiti Neo-Expressionist, Wain’s work is characterized by a rebellious fusion of aerosol street art and heavy acrylic impasto. By reinterpreting classical subjects through a vibrant, high-saturation lens, he creates emotionally charged works that are collected internationally.
