Description from the seller

“Spray your heart” – Limited Edition (100 copies) - New collection 2026
Edition number: 06/100
Artist: SKE
Publisher: Atelier Montmartre Paris
300 g/m² art paper – ISO A3 format – Signed, numbered – Certificate included

In this work, SKE openly distorts the emblematic Banksy iconography, a major figure in contemporary street art and a symbol of anonymous, engaged, and subversive art. By adopting the iconic stencil posture and the red heart gesture, the artist replaces the anonymous silhouette with Gaston, the cult character from Franco-Belgian comics.

This shift creates a new reading: Banksy’s militant anonymity confronts Gaston’s assumed innocence. Masked, with a spray can in hand, the character becomes, in turn, a clandestine actor in the urban space, blurring the boundary between popular art, engagement, and mass culture.

The red heart, blazing on the rough wall, retains its universal symbolic charge: love, resistance, freely expressed emotion. Splashes, projections, and textures reinforce the street aesthetic and the illusion of a work born in the street.

Through this détournement, SKE questions the notion of author, signature, and message in contemporary urban art, while paying homage to one of its founding myths.

A strong, narrative work that is immediately legible, aimed at collectors of street art, pop art, and icon détournements.
Characteristics:

• Limited edition of 100 copies
• Printed on premium 300 g art paper
• ISO A3 format, easy to frame
• Each copy signed and numbered by SKE
• Delivered with certificate of authenticity
• Shipped protected, reinforced packaging

- ARTIST BIO:
SKE is a self-taught French artist and a versatile creator who grew up with 80s/90s culture, inspiring the bulk of his artistic works.

He constantly explores new techniques: acrylic painting, collage, stencil, graffiti, urban installations, and digital art. His dynamic and expressive compositions, often with double meanings, blend the raw energy of street art with the visual impact of pop art.

After an exceptional 2025, SKE’s market value has risen notably. Winner of the first prize in the Urban Master contest (2023), then named Revelation of the Year at the Color Jam Challenge (2025). SKE was selected as “Artist of the Month” in October and also featured in an American art magazine, confirming his international recognition.

His works have already been exhibited in major venues in Europe, the United States, and Asia, cementing his place on the contemporary art scene. Concurrently, SKE is also making waves in the digital art market, a major trend in the past two years, boosting the appeal of his creations among collectors.

Icons of popular culture, bold graphics, and texture play characterize a now-essential style.

SKE is undoubtedly an artist to watch, to start or enrich a collection with rising value.

Honored and Awarded Artist – Pop Art & Contemporary Street Art

AN UNIVERSE BETWEEN HERITAGE AND MODERNITY SKE’s work sits in a prestigious lineage. His line shows the visual efficiency of Keith Haring and Andy Warhol, while incorporating Banksy’s subversion or the pioneering Blek le Rat. His works create a bridge between eras: they revisit classics, not hesitating to détourne Vinci’s Mona Lisa, Vermeer’s Girl with a Pearl Earring, Hokusai’s Great Wave, or Picasso’s deconstructed forms to juxtapose them with a modern urban aesthetic akin to Mr Brainwash or Kaws.

POP CULTURE & NOSTALGIA Drawing on collective imagery, SKE manipulates childhood icons. He positions the Disney universe with figures like Mickey or Pinocchio, and Scrooge McDuck’s symbolic greed. The influence of gaming, comics, and graphic novels is omnipresent: from Nintendo and the iconic Game Boy to Pokemon creatures (Pikachu, Charizard, Ash), and the Marvel Super Heroes. SKE crystallizes these memories in the manner of Daniel Arsham or Takashi Murakami.

LUXURY, HYPE & CONSUMER SOCIETY In a style sometimes reminiscent of Alec Monopoly, the artist plays with codes of success and materialism. The Dollar symbol sits alongside luxury and fashion logos. His canvases capture the “Hype” aesthetic: you’ll encounter sneaker culture (Nike Air Jordan, Adidas, Off-White) and haute couture (Louis Vuitton, Hermès, Louboutin). He also incorporates automotive adrenaline (Ferrari, Porsche, Bugatti, AMG) and precision watchmaking (Rolex, Tag Heuer), not forgetting mass consumer icons like Coca-Cola. It is vibrant art, with textured finishes that sometimes recall Jeff Koons’ glossy surfaces or the facets of Richard Orlinski.

This work is ideal for enriching a collection or bringing a dynamic touch to your space.
