For sale is a sumptuous edition of a family Bible from the late 19th century.

The book features a beautifully ornate contemporary binding. The text block has also been gilded.

There are 431 (some full-page) steel engravings, as well as 38 full-page oil prints.

The pages are partially lightly foxed and there are isolated stains. The title page of the Old Testament has a small to moderate tear in the lower part of the page, with no loss of text.
