“ARCHEMISIO”
is a contemporary painter famous for his hyperrealist works in oil on canvas, in which he blends photographic precision with the dramatic lighting typical of Caravaggio. Growing up on the streets of Rome, from a young age he was fascinated by the Baroque masterpieces displayed in the churches and museums of the city, developing a passion for the contrast between light and shadow and for the emotional intensity of the figures.
After studying at the Academy of Fine Arts in Rome, Archemisio has traveled in Europe and the United States, refining hyperrealist technique through the study of modern artists. However, his style stands out for the Caravaggesque heritage: his works capture meticulous details (from the wrinkles of the skin to reflections on an object) but are immersed in a theatrical and directional light, which chisels the volumes and creates an atmosphere charged with symbolism.
