"Baby Meets Andy" features Fredi’s unmistakable cow – white-green-purple, with a blossom in its mouth and a mischievous gaze – amid a rain of bananas. In rich magenta, the yellow fruits float weightlessly around it, a direct homage to the most famous fruit motif in the history of Pop Art. The combination of a bright background, clear contours, and the humorous encounter of two icons makes this work one of the most charming in the "Baby Meets" series – loud, joyful, and with a big wink.

About the artist:
I am Fredi Gertsch, a Swiss contemporary painter with a studio and exhibition space in Burgdorf. Since 2021 I have been working in the historic town center at Kronenplatz – in a generous ground-floor space with four large shop windows, where visitors can regularly see my latest works in their original form.

My art fuses Pop Art and Street Art aesthetics: bold colors, clean lines, collage-like elements, and strong storytelling. Animals – especially cows, sheep, and birds – along with everyday objects, take center stage and explore social, ecological, and human topics with humor, warmth, and optimism.

Many works arise freely from imagination, without reference images. Others begin with a digital sketch (Procreate), which I deliberately transform and abstract during the painting process until a distinct work emerges in my personal visual language.
