You are bidding on a very fine italian 4/4 violin, labeled Panizzi Giovanni Battista fece in San Remo anno 1918. The instrument is in ready to play condition with some small, not visible repaired cracks, new ebony set up, new Milo Stamm bridge and new strings. The violin produces a deep, rich, warm, and powerful tone with strong projection, making it well suited for advanced players or solo performance.
The violin has an excellent straight high grained spruce of the top and one piece back of narrow flamed maple. The purfling is professionally executed and the edges are masterfully done. The original varnish of golden amber color remains in excellent condition. The whole length of the violin is 584 mm and the back 356 mm.
