State of Preservation, Dents and Alterations

General Conditions:
The item is presented in excellent vintage condition, preserving the original structural integrity. No modern restoration work has been carried out, thus preserving the valuable historical patina sought by collectors.

Dents and Signs of Wear:
• Exterior (Monogram Canvas): The canvas is intact and shows no cuts or holes. Light superficial signs consistent with use and the piece’s age are visible.

• Hardware (Brass): The brass shows natural superficial oxidation (dark patina). No major dents on the lock or the corner fittings.

• Leather (Handle and Edges): The natural vacchetta of the handle has taken on a dark honey color. There are signs of rubbing and small superficial cracks due to time, but the leather remains solid.

• Interior: The Vuittonite lining is clean and free of unpleasant odors. There are small scattered brown stains and light signs of lining detachment near the inner edges (physiological for antique adhesives), which do not compromise use.

Restorations and Alterations:

• Restorations: No restoration carried out. The piece is completely original in every part.

• Alterations: No structural alterations. Noted only is the absence of the removable inner tray and the original key. There are no painted initials or initials that have been removed.
