Description from the seller
SPRING IN JAPAN
95 x 70 cm
Acrylic on canvas · 2026
Signed on the front, bottom right corner
Spring in Japan presents a scene where architecture, nature and water integrate in a composition with great structural clarity. The pond occupies the visual center, reflecting the surroundings and creating an axis of symmetry that organizes the image.
The red fish introduce dynamism on the tranquil surface of the water, functioning as points of contrast against the dominant palette of greens, blues and pinks. The blooms, treated with loose brushwork, add rhythm and lightness, while the straight lines of the bridge and the architecture stabilize the composition.
The space is built from well-defined planes, where each element —the pavilion, the vegetation, the water— is arranged with precision, generating a sense of balance and order.
The work conveys a serene, almost suspended atmosphere, where time seems to slow down. More than a literal representation, it is an interpretation where the natural and the built coexist in harmony.
PACKAGING AND AUTHENTICITY
The work is offered directly by Mar Legón, and includes a certificate signed by the artist. The painting (unframed) will be carefully rolled and protected inside a sturdy cardboard tube to ensure its proper preservation during transport. After payment confirmation, a maximum of three business days is required to prepare the work before shipping. Delivery time will depend on the destination, with an estimated period of up to ten business days.
ABOUT THE ARTIST
Mar Legón develops a painting practice focused on exploring color as structure and emotion. Her work is characterized by clear compositions, formal synthesis and vibrant contrasts that place the everyday in a contemporary territory.
Through still lifes, tropical scenes and elements of the immediate environment, she builds a coherent and recognizable visual language. Each work is an original piece that reflects ongoing research into the balance between form, color and space, consolidating a solid artistic identity with projection.
