Description from the seller
Title: Silent Light
Artist: Frías (hand-signed)
Graphite drawing on cardstock – 65 × 50 cm – 2026
In “Silent Light,” Frías presents a delicate, contemplative vision of the horse, where the line and the transparency of the stroke build an almost ethereal atmosphere. The figure emerges softly over a suggested landscape, creating a balance between presence and lightness.
The use of Polychromos graphite by Faber-Castell allows for exceptional precision and a richness of nuances, achieving subtle transitions between light and shadow. The animal’s gaze conveys serenity, introspection, and an intimate connection with its surroundings.
The condition of the work is excellent. The cardstock is of high quality, ensuring durability and stability. In photographs the tones may vary slightly; in person the work presents greater depth, softness, and tonal richness.
The work will be shipped in a well-protected shipping tube, quickly and securely, accompanied by an authentication certificate signed by the artist.

I am an artist represented by 1819 Art Gallery, based in Spain. I currently reside and develop my artistic work in Málaga, Spain.
I am a painter, draftsman, and art teacher, graduated in Cuba in 2006. For several years I worked as an art teacher in different educational centers, and later conducted painting workshops in Finland.
My work has been exhibited in libraries, schools, cinemas, and art galleries in both Cuba and Finland. Among other exhibitions, in 2013 I presented my work at the International Cultural Center Caisa and at the Parliament of Finland, in Helsinki. In 2022 I exhibited at the Provincial Museum of Las Tunas, to an excellent reception from the public.
I have also participated in the annual performance festival “La Pupila Archivada” and created murals in various spaces in Cuba and Finland.
My work focuses on the human being: the body, its psychology, and its relationship with the environment. Nudity, eroticism, and human-to-human communication are fundamental elements in my artistic language. I paint as a form of investigation, to understand reality, beauty, and the essence of the human experience.
My works are part of private collections in Cuba, Finland, Russia, Egypt, Canada, and various European countries.
